BALITHERM® PRIMEFORMBALITHERM PRIMEFORM – easy to repair independent of the surface
As an expert, you know that mirror-polished, laser/chemically textured and all polished surfaces are exposed to wear and scratches during production, in mould maintenance or when handled incorrectly. Repairing them takes time and reduces your productivity. Oerlikon Balzers has now developed solutions for all possible applications, whatever the size of the mould. No matter what surface you have, protect it with one of the new BALITHERM® PRIMEFORM solutions. |

BALINIT® MOLDENAAbrasion and corrosion resistant coating for injection moulding
The newly developed coating from Oerlikon Balzers is 7 µm thin, exceeds the hardness of almost all previous coatings for processing plastics and offers outstanding abrasion and corrosion resistance. These last two properties make it the perfect coating for injection moulding and extrusion of abrasive materials such as glass fibre reinforced plastics, and it is also ideal for injection moulding of corrosive materials such as fully recycled materials or those with a high flame retarder content.
When a standard coating is applied to injection moulds used to process unsaturated polyester (40%), the coating peeled off after 40,000 shots. With the new coating BALINIT® MOLDENA, the same high product quality was provided even after 200,000 shots. |

BALINIT® MAYURAFor the challenges of injection moulding with minimal tolerance
BALINIT® MAYURA catches the eye with its brilliant colours, and reveals its true value in the demanding stamping of non-ferrous metals.
The coating is harder and smoother
than previous coatings, which minimises material adhesion, and it is extremely thin, which keeps cutting edges sharp.
Tool manufacturers and end users benefit from increased tool life, maximum precision and higher productivity in themanufacturing process. BALINIT® MAYURA takes stamping of non-ferrous metals to the next level, whether it‘s aluminium or copper alloys (e.g. phosphor bronze or brass). |
